  • The community site for XNA contains a wealth of tutorials, demos, and examples to help you create any type of game you want for the PC, Xbox 360, Zune, or Windows 7 phone. The site focuses on C# development.

  • Microsoft Developer Network
  • If you use the online help built into Visual Studio this is the site you are directed to. Besides a large help library the site contains blogs from developers, tutorials, and example code. There are specific sections for C#, C++, and Visual BASIC.

  • The Video Game Atlas
  • This site is a great source for game maps. It even contains maps from recent consoles including the XBox, Playstation 2, and Wii.

  • OverClocked ReMix
  • This a great source for game music. The music you will find on this site is all remixed versions of popular videogame tracks.

  • Charas - Character Generator
  • Create sprites for your games with this character generator. The site will create sprite sheets for you to download.

  • NES SNES Sprites
  • Focuses on sprites from the NES and Super NES, but also contains a few sprites from other systems. Overall, the site has nearly 100,000 sprites.

  • The Sprite Database
  • Contains sprites from videogame systems from the NES to the Playstation 2. The site is consistently updated with new sprites.
